We are people of faith working from our Christian identity to help all people reach their potential. Our projects are aimed to address root causes of poverty so that local communities become resilient and thrive. Our projects are run by communities worldwide and no one is excluded based on their nationality, ethnic origin, gender or religion. 

We believe poverty is not only about economic or material needs. Poverty affects all aspects of life: social, environmental and spiritual needs. Tearfund sees broken relationships as the fundamental cause of poverty, and these broken relationships are in turn the result of man's rebellion against God.
